“Buy this wine or we will sue you.”

Our Story

The concept for our wines started the moment co-owner Don Carlson first visited The Vines of Mendoza, located 40 miles south of Mendoza, Argentina, in 2012.  The potential vineyard sites are located at 3600+ feet elevation, hard up against the eastern foothills of the Andes. The views are simply spectacular and the soil and climate are perfect for growing high-quality vines.  Not surprisingly, Don was bowled over by the beauty of the vineyard sites and the opportunity to make his own wine, and shortly thereafter, he approached co-owner Guy Calladine to participate in the adventure.  The two, having been law partners, close friends and wine collectors at that point for over 30 years (now, over 40), the lure to make wine from one’s own vineyards was too great to resist.  Thus, Dos Abogados (two lawyers) was born.

Our intent was, and remains, to create small lots of high-quality, hand-crafted wines for the enjoyment of family, friends, law colleagues and wine lovers.  We hope you will enjoy our Dos Abogados wines as much as we enjoy producing and drinking them.  And please, read the back labels for more information about the wine and us.
